Women Economic Empowerment in Northern Ghana (WEENORTH)

WEENORTH is a five year (2020-2025) project seeking to improve 2,000 young women’s participation in non-traditional trades and change gender norms across Northern Ghana. Young women receive technical skills extending from electricals to tiling. Implemented by Alinea Foundation and funded by Global Affairs Canada HAYTAFORD came on board from September 2021 and serves as a service provider for Upper West Region. We mobilize and support Alinea to select and prepare beneficiaries. In addition to this HAYTAFORD provides soft skills for the young women including gender, leadership, sexual reproductive health rights, business skills and job readiness.
